Job Description


We are partnering with a purpose-led healthcare organization that is modernizing its data environment and building scalable, cloud-native platforms that support millions of members across the United States. We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong AWS expertise and hands-on experience using AWS CDK to support major modernization and automation initiatives.

This is a fully remote role with a contract-to-hire pathway.


Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines in AWS

• Implement infrastructure as code using AWS CDK

• Develop and optimize ETL and ELT workloads

• Collaborate with engineering, architecture and product teams to support data modernization efforts

• Ensure solutions align with compliance requirements common in healthcare environments

• Troubleshoot, monitor and improve data workflows and cloud infrastructure

• Support ongoing cloud migration and automation initiatives


Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with AWS CDK and infrastructure as code

• Hands-on expertise with AWS data services including Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift or DynamoDB

• Strong Python or TypeScript programming experience

• Background in building robust ETL and ELT pipelines

• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, CI/CD and automation

• Experience working with large datasets in high-compliance environments

• Healthcare domain experience is beneficial but not required
