About The Opportunity
Orbion Infotech is hiring an experienced Backend Engineer to join a remote-first engineering team focused on building resilient, performant backend services and APIs for enterprise clients. You will own core services, optimise data flows, and collaborate with product and frontend teams to ship high-quality features in an agile environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Express.js.
- Build and optimise data models and queries on PostgreSQL and MongoDB for reliability and performance.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and environment automation using Docker and cloud tooling.
- Develop automated unit and integration tests; maintain high code quality and participate in code reviews.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, implement observability (metrics/logging/alerts) and performance tuning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, frontend, and QA to deliver features on predictable schedules.
