🚀 Node.js Voice Automation Developer – Contract

📍 Location: UK – Fully Remote

💰 Rate: £480 per day – Outside IR35

⏱ Duration: Initially 3 months

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Node.js Developer with strong voice automation / IVR experience to join a high-profile digital transformation programme.

The client is migrating critical customer claims and appointment booking journeys from legacy platforms (ServiceBench and Click) into a modern environment using IFS and Google Dialogflow CX. This work is heavily focused on API rebuilds, voice flows, and seamless customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js for voice automation and customer journey orchestration
  • Build, integrate and optimise RESTful APIs for claims, appointments, and customer history
  • Update and enhance IVR flows and logic to align with new IFS behaviours and Dialogflow CX
  • Implement strong security and authentication best practices
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to validate, test, and document customer journeys
  • Support knowledge transfer and technical upskilling across the team


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on development experience with Node.js
  • Proven experience delivering voice automation / IVR solutions
  • Strong background in RESTful API design and integration
  • Experience working with cloud APIs
  • Solid understanding of security and authentication in cloud-based applications
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and deliver under tight timelines


Nice to Have

  • Experience with Google Dialogflow CX
  • Exposure to IFS or similar enterprise platforms
  • Experience migrating from legacy platforms
