Job Description
As an HR Generalist, you must have experience in the medical or healthcare industry. You are required to have strong knowledge of HIPAA, Workers’ Compensation, and healthcare compliance, and responsibility for HR operations, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and payroll support.
Requirements
- 2+ years of HR generalist experience preferred.
- Experience in the medical/healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, Workers’ Compensation, and healthcare compliance.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems is a plus.
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong HR knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and compliance.
- Provide HR services including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations, retention, compliance, and labor relations
- Complete personnel transactions and handle administrative tasks for onboarding, orientation, and exit interviews
- Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate new hire onboarding in coordination with cross-functional departments
- Enter and audit HR data for accuracy and compliance
- Provide HR advisory support regarding absence, health issues, conduct, capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and employee relations
- Serve as backup for payroll processing, including employee file updates, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick tracking, reimbursements, exceptions, hourly validations, and benefit changes
- Assist with communication, interpretation, and maintenance of employee handbook, directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for healthcare roles
- Coordinate and manage the onboarding process and maintain talent pipelines and applicant tracking records
- Serve as first point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and escalations
- Support employee relations and workplace culture and ensure HR documentation and policy adherence
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, labor laws, and healthcare regulatory requirements
- Manage Workers’ Compensation cases, documentation, and reporting
- Assist in maintaining updated policies and procedures based on industry standards
- Process payroll, manage timekeeping and adjustments, handle payroll inquiries, and ensure payroll compliance across jurisdictions
- Must have excellent English communication skills.

- A total of five paid vacation days per year (additional days can be taken unpaid).
- A 5% raise per year guaranteed (additional raises or bonuses may be given for outstanding performance).
- A paid 15-minute break for every 4 hours of work.

- Vacation days increase by 1 vacation day per year. I.e. after one year of employment, the total paid vacation days on year 2 would be six, on year 3 seven, etc.
