This individual will serve as a domain expert, shaping the organization’s security posture by aligning technical controls with business goals, compliance frameworks, and emerging threats. The ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge, strong conceptual thinking, and a proven ability to drive collaboration across IT, business, and governance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security Architecture & Design: Develop secure architectures across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments that meet enterprise cybersecurity standards.
  • Cloud Security: Define and implement security controls for IaaS/PaaS environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • AI Security: Design and enforce secure AI system architectures, focusing on GenAI governance, data protection, and adversarial resilience.
  • Endpoint, Network & Application Security: Oversee configurations, patching standards, and advanced network segmentation for threat containment.
  • Identity & Access Management: Design and manage enterprise IAM, SSO, MFA, and privilege management solutions.
  • Threat Modeling & Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate cyber risks, assess vulnerabilities, and propose countermeasures across systems.
  • DevSecOps Integration: Embed security principles into CI/CD pipelines, container security, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with business units, infrastructure teams, and application architects to ensure secure-by-design implementation.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure alignment with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
  • Security Advocacy: Translate complex security concepts into actionable insights for executives and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of IT security experience, including architecture or engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud, network, and application security principles.
  • Expertise in cyber risk assessment, IAM, DevSecOps, and data protection.
  • Hands-on familiarity with container security, runtime protection, and secure image management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AI/ML system security (model hardening, data governance, threat modeling).
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills — able to bridge technical and business perspectives.

Desired / Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCNP, or CISA.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to architect large-scale, resilient systems.
  • Experience with Big 4 consulting or equivalent enterprise security engagements.
