About the Opportunity:
The organization is a global leader in cybersecurity, focused on protecting people, processes, and technologies for modern enterprises. The Systems Engineer II will join the Production Services team, contributing to the engineering and maintenance of production systems environments.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze complex technical systems architecture and recommend improvements
• Manage Linux engineering and administration for thousands of bare metal servers and virtual machines
• Troubleshoot server hardware issues
• Deploy servers and applications at scale within internal datacenters
• Develop and maintain scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, and alarms using languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, or Go
• Participate in on-call rotation with team members
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
• Experience with infrastructure technologies (Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Configuration management experience with tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
• Experience writing technical documentation
• Knowledge of protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SNMP) and OSI model
• Familiarity with bare metal provisioning technologies (e.g., Canonical MaaS)
• Understanding of block storage solutions (e.g., TrueNAS)
• Experience with container systems (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix)
• Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
• Experience with configuration management (Chef, Ansible, Salt)
• Self-learning ability and initiative in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills across distributed teams
• Attention to detail and effective decision-making
• Ability to periodically undergo and pass background and fingerprint checks as required

Compensation:
• The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $100,000 to $145,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses and equity.
