The Position

The Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) was established to drive analytics and technology-driven solutions by partnering with Roche affiliates across the globe.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lead Analyst to join our Data Management & Operations group for the Next Best Action (NBA) Support project.

Your primary mission will be to partner with US Stakeholders, the IT team, External Vendors, and the GATE team to develop insights and strategies that optimize data-related processes. In this role, you will contribute to informed decision-making with a specific focus on the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences domain.

Key Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Operations

  • Leverage expertise in data modeling, analysis, and management to enhance processes
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis using Excel, AWS, and other tools to support real-time decisions
  • Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering to ensure accurate, actionable data for development projects
  • Uphold best practices in data governance and analytics organization-wide

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to address data needs
  • Manage stakeholder requirements, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with US and GATE India teams
  • Deliver polished presentations and address inquiries from stakeholders confidently
  • Exhibit flexibility to accommodate meetings in IST/PST time zones as needed

Domain Expertise & Mentorship

  • Apply pharmaceutical industry expertise, including data on claims, sales, market landscape, and clinical trials
  • Mentor and train interns and graduates in Data Management and Pharma domain knowledge to build capabilities in Costa Rica


Who You Are
Experience & Background

  • Total Experience: 5–7 years in analytics/consulting
  • Industry Experience: 2–5 years in Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare
  • Education: B.Tech/B.E. (preferably in Computer Science). Master’s degree and certifications in data-related fields are a plus


Technical Skills
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in Excel and SQL
  • Programming: Python or PySpark knowledge is desirable
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Domain Knowledge: Expertise in US Pharma operations and data modeling
  • Data Assets: Familiarity with secondary datasets, including IQVIA Sales, 867 data, LAAD Claims, affiliations, interactions, Veeva, and medical data

Core Competencies

  • Proficiency in deriving actionable insights through analytical structuring
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous focus on quality and accuracy
