Job Description


DevSecOps Engineer (m/f/d)


Green Habitat GmbH, based in Linz, Austria, develops digital solutions for businesses. As a security engineer, you will work across multiple software development projects to assess risks and help engineer and validate controls within the application and platform layer, throughout the development lifecycle. This will involve a range of activities, including (but not limited to) selecting and configuring DevSecOps tools, developing high-level and detailed security designs, and hardening the deployment environment.


The candidate should demonstrate experience in


1. Appreciation of software development lifecycle, software delivery methodologies and experience with industry standard tools and methods for delivering software in an enterprise environment (version control, CI/CD, etc)

2. Programming with at least one modern programming language (preferably Python)

3. Configuration and deployment of the automated security testing tools (e.g. SAST, SCA)

4. Deployment of the secure vault (e.g. Hashicorp Vault) for storing sensitive data i

5. Triaging scanning tool's findings and tracking remediation

6. Design and implement security controls in a cloud native solution in one of the major public cloud platforms

7. Working with the Development team to ensure efficient security controls in the SDLC


It would also be beneficial if the candidate had


· Threat Modelling and the relevant frameworks(e.g. STRIDE)

· Hands-on experience with penetration testing and/or relevant certifications (e.g. OSCP)

· Professional certifications in AWS or Azure (e.g. AWS Certified Security Speciality)

· Degree in computer science or related field
