Job Description
Main Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the IT infrastructure systems across our estate.
Your primary role is to ensure the availability of services delivered at data centres and offices across multiple European locations.
The successful candidate would be someone who seeks innovation and opportunities for increased efficiencies and has experience working within a multi-functional team to continuously improve our services and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple teams to design, implement, optimise, and maintain solutions
- Update existing documentation and create new documentation when required
- Manage and configure infrastructure services spanning multiple Datacentres
- Innovate and automate processes where possible
- Perform BAU tasks such as firewall rule management, backups, VM builds, patching, and technical troubleshooting
- Lead and/or support projects impacting the business
- Address vulnerabilities reported by external penetration testing partners
- Attend SOC meetings.
- Act on alerts raised by our Firstline Team and monitoring systems.
- When required work after normal business hours (maintenance)
- Part of the on-call rota (Mon-sun)
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience in a similar role
- 5+ years’ experience working in an enterprise environment.
- Excellent knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure.
Essential Experience:
- Hypervisors (VMware, Proxmox)
- Microsoft Windows Server (2019, 2022)
- Excellent understanding of networking (ACL, NAT, VPN)
- Previous Experience in using Backup products
- Storage (Dell EMC Unity, HPE Nimble, Dell Powerstore)
- Server Hardware (Installation, Configuration, iLO,iDrac)
- Active Directory
- Office 365 administration

- Azure Cloud technologies
- Intune
- Monitoring systems (Vrops, Grafana, Nagios)
