As we expand into blockchain and Web3 solutions, we are looking for a talented Blockchain Developer to join our remote engineering team based in Canada.
Role Overview
The Blockchain Developer will play a key role in the design, development, and deployment of blockchain-based systems and smart contract solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Web3 features and contribute to the development of blockchain technologies that align with both internal and client goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain smart contracts using Solidity or other blockchain programming languages
- Design and contribute to the architecture of decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain solutions
- Integrate blockchain solutions with backend services and front-end applications using Web3 technologies
- Conduct code reviews, ensure security best practices, and optimize contract performance
- Troubleshoot smart contract issues, monitor performance, and optimize gas usage
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define features and deliver projects on time
- Stay updated on blockchain trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within the Web3 ecosystem
Required Qualifications
- Based in Canada (remote work permitted)
- 2+ years of experience in software development, with at least 1 year in blockchain development
- Proficiency in Solidity and EVM-based smart contract development
- Strong understanding of blockchain principles, smart contract security, and decentralized applications (dApps)
- Experience with development tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, and Foundry
- Familiarity with Web3 libraries (e.g., ethers.js, web3.js) and blockchain testing frameworks
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote team
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Layer-2 solutions, cross-chain compatibility, or non-EVM chains
- Background in backend or full-stack development supporting blockchain features
- Exposure to DeFi protocols, tokenomics, or enterprise blockchain solutions
- Experience with blockchain-related analytics tools or platforms
Compensation & Benefits
CAD 140,000 - 170,000 per year, based on experience
