Salary: $180,000 – $200,000

About the Role:
The Senior Platform Network Engineer performs network support, hands-on system administration, and enterprise-level troubleshooting across Layer 2 and Layer 3 systems supporting next-generation satellite data management capabilities. This role requires deep Linux experience, strong network engineering fundamentals, and the ability to work onsite at the Aurora, CO facility. Some travel (up to 10%) is expected to support installation, integration, and test activities.
What You Will Do:
• Design, deploy, modernize, and support scalable network solutions
• Support network design and development activities to optimize performance across multiple computing environments
• Use Linux command-line skills to deploy updates and configuration changes for Cisco-based systems
• Implement switch, firewall, and router configurations
• Provide guidance on network resource allocation, utilization, and optimization
• Troubleshoot network issues and proactively mitigate risks
Qualifications You Must Have:
• BS/BA in STEM: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, or related field
• 5+ years of professional and relevant network engineering experience
• Linux System Administration experience (e.g., RHEL 6.0+)
• Experience with VMware and virtualized environments
• Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ within 90 days of hire
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly required
• U.S. citizenship
Qualifications We Prefer:
• Advanced experience with Cisco, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASA, Brocade
• Expertise troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3
• Firewall implementation experience
• Python scripting preferred; Bash/Shell accepted
• Experience integrating PKI, LDAP, and other identity/access management systems
• Agile environment experience (Scrum, SAFe)
• Experience with scanning tools and basic automation frameworks
This role requires an active and transferable DoD Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and CI polygraph. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for security clearance. Candidates without the required clearance cannot be considered for this position.
