We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of IT to lead and scale internal technology operations for a fast-growing, remote-first organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a secure, efficient, and reliable IT environment, managing internal systems, and driving technology strategy across the company. You will mentor a small IT team while actively participating in day-to-day operations, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, finance, and people operations. Accountabilities
- Develop and execute internal IT strategy, covering systems management, access control, cybersecurity, and hardware procurement.
- Mentor and manage the IT team, providing guidance while contributing hands-on to daily IT operations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance, security, and operational efficiency across cloud infrastructure and SaaS tools.
- Identify, implement, and optimize scalable technology solutions to support a growing global workforce.
- Ensure smooth operations and robust IT support, including asset management, endpoint management, and help desk services.
- Drive initiatives that enhance employee experience, system performance, and organizational productivity.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT roles, including at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategically while executing tactical tasks effectively.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally within SaaS or technology companies.
- Strong expertise in cloud-based systems, including identity management, device management, EDR, VPN, DLP, and help desk operations.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote and asynchronous setting.
- Proven track record of implementing scalable IT solutions and enhancing system security and reliability.
