Job Description


Role: Fractional Information Technology (IT) Specialist

We’re looking to connect with experienced Fractional IT Specialists who can provide hands-on, high-quality technical support across a range of operational IT needs — without the overhead of a full-time role. This role is ideal for IT professionals who enjoy working across environments and tech stacks, and who can confidently support cloud-based, remote-first, or hybrid teams with day-to-day IT operations, systems setup, and security protocols.


Key responsibilities may include:

  • Managing day-to-day IT operations and troubleshooting user issues
  • Setting up and maintaining hardware, software, and network systems
  • Supporting SaaS tools and workspace environments (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Slack)
  • Leading onboarding and offboarding processes, including device setup and access management
  • Implementing security policies (MFA, endpoint protection, backups)
  • Managing vendors, licenses, and IT asset inventories
  • Supporting helpdesk functions and internal support ticket workflows
  • Advising on IT infrastructure upgrades, integrations, or migrations


Required qualities may include:

  • Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure experience
  • Familiarity with cloud-based tools and modern remote work setups
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort managing both Mac and Windows environments
  • Experience with identity/access management tools (Okta, JumpCloud, or similar)
  • Proficiency in setting up secure networks, endpoints, and IT automation workflows
  • Clear communicator with a calm, solution-oriented approach
  • Prior freelance, consulting, or fractional IT support experience is a plus
