The Role
We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our AWS-based infrastructure. You'll work closely with our Australian team and a global network of award-winning engineers and designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK
- Manage services like S3, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, Aurora, Amplify, CloudFront, IAM
- Optimize caching strategies (CloudFront, Lambda, S3, app-level)
- Set up monitoring with Sentry and PostHog
- Build CI/CD pipelines and ensure secure, scalable cloud architecture
- Collaborate with developers to streamline deployment
Technical Skills
- AWS Expertise: Deep knowledge of CDK, serverless architecture, database services (RDS, Aurora), and Amplify
- Caching: Strong grasp of edge caching, cache control headers, and performance tuning
- Monitoring: Experience with Sentry, PostHog, and event-based analytics
- Programming: Proficient in Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript; scripting for automation
- DevOps Tools: GitHub Actions, Docker, CloudWatch, Amplify Console, Git
Qualifications
- 3–5 years in DevOps
- Bachelor’s in CS or related field
- AWS DevOps certification (preferred)
- Strong experience with cloud architecture, caching, and database management
- Familiarity with product analytics and performance optimization
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
