Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - 2nd Line

Fully Remote

Salary up to 41K


We have teamed up with a cloud-focused technology consultancy who are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their managed services team, providing 2nd line support for production Microsoft Azure–hosted solutions.


The role focuses on maintaining the stability, security, and performance of live cloud platforms, supporting production Azure platforms once they are live, and contributing to continuous improvement through automation and DevOps practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line support for Azure-based infrastructure and platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs
  • Maintain and improve IaC templates and deployment pipelines
  • Proactively identify performance, security, and cost optimisation opportunities
  • Assist with CI/CD pipelines and operational automation - DevOps focused environment
  • Support change and release activities, including testing and validation


What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a 2nd line cloud or infrastructure support role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of APIs, authentication, and common data formats
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
