ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE
Medix is currently seeking an Executive IT Advisory Consultant for one of our Health System clients.
Our client is a medium sized Health System (<10 hospitals) located in the Northeastern US. They are embarking on a number of enterprise-wide changes, one of which is a move away from their current Managed Services Partner. This Advisory Consultant will be wearing the hat of Enterprise Architect and IT Operations Leadership to help build up the organizational structures to bring IT back in-house for the company.
We are seeking an executive-level individual who has done advisory consulting in the past, and has worked for a large Health System before.
Please note that this role will involve up to 50% travel to the NYC Metro Area

HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the strategy for an IT Insourcing campaign
- Partnering closely with other executives, Directors and Managers to gain buy-in and drive a consensus from the existing leadership
- Building out the Enterprise Architecture and Organizational Structure for an entire IT Operations and IT Service Management structure
- Establishing the enterprise governance for IT Service and Operation Management - determining what the SLAβs will be, what KPIs and metrics will be tracked for success, etc
- Building an IT Service Management organization - from a Tiered Service Desk and NOC, to EUC, Systems, Networking and Cloud.
- Building out the groundwork for an enterprise IT Asset Management tracking for both hardware and software assets (HAM/SAM)
- Providing program oversight for the insourcing initiatives, identifying risks and using lessons learned from similar past projects to drive success.
- Managing program budgets in excess of $10M / year
- Establishing a program oversee clinical application rationalization and legacy application support (both from a product, and an end-user perspective)
- Overseeing the program to hire a large number of IT Infrastructure individuals - leveraging full time and consulting sources.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have recent, prior experience working for a Hospital / Health System
- Must have executive-level experience at the VP, SVP or Chief level
- Prior Enterprise Architecture and Insourcing experience
- Prior experience building up an IT Service Management practice, and an in-house Service Desk
- ITSM Governance
- ITIL Certified, with a deep foundation in IT Service Management
