Job Title: Senior Business Analyst (Level 3)

Location: Remote (USA)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support large-scale technology initiatives, including mainframe transformation and modernization programs. The role involves advanced business analysis activities for complex hardware and software implementations, including SaaS and COTS solutions, data migration, and data warehouse development.

The candidate will work with minimal supervision and will have significant responsibility for gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements. This role requires strong collaboration with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders across multiple interrelated projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform senior-level business analysis for complex technology projects
  • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements
  • Review and improve existing business processes and workflows
  • Create detailed documentation including use cases, process flows, data models, and design documents
  • Facilitate workshops and interactive sessions with business and cross-functional teams
  • Support data migration activities and integration with new systems
  • Develop and support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test plans, test cases, and execution
  • Analyze production support issues, identify root causes, and document corrective actions
  • Ensure deliverables follow established standards, processes, and best practices
  • Provide guidance to business and functional teams during testing, training, and implementation
  • May lead or coordinate the work of other analysts as needed


Required Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of business analysis experience on software development projects
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, traceability, and client management
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and presentations
  • Hands-on experience with process modeling, prototyping, and documentation tools (e.g., Visio or similar)
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving production issues
  • Experience defining functional designs and system specifications
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and software quality assurance methodologies
  • Experience writing and reviewing test plans, test cases, and quality standards
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA for stories, test cases, execution, and reporting
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation
  • Experience with manual testing techniques (smoke, regression, black box, white box)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Java, Selenium, or similar)
  • Experience with Salesforce-related projects
  • Background in process improvement and change management initiatives
  • Experience in Oil & Gas industry or regulatory/compliance-focused projects
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams and handle complex situations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)


Work Schedule & Additional Information

  • Standard business hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (local business hours)
  • Occasional work outside standard hours may be required with prior approval
  • Fully remote role within the United States
  • Long-term engagement with potential extensions based on project needs and funding
