Senior Business Analyst - Capital Markets

In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex capital market requirements into actionable documentation and solutions. You will analyze business processes, prepare functional specifications, and ensure alignment across multiple project teams. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior project managers, vendors, and business leaders to support investment banking and brokerage initiatives. You will play a key role in identifying issues, proposing solutions, and ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining strong customer satisfaction. Accountabilities

• Collaborate with business leaders to gather requirements and prepare functional specification documents, including requirement documents, use cases, user stories, data models, test cases, and UI diagrams.
• Facilitate and coordinate meetings between business stakeholders and vendors, documenting minutes, action plans, and tracking completion.
• Escalate project issues proactively to avoid delays and ensure smooth project execution.
• Work closely with senior project managers on project reporting, escalations, and resolution strategies.
• Analyze and understand business processes, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  
  

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services domain, with strong expertise in capital markets, investment banking, or brokerage processes.
• Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and development methodologies.
• Proven ability to create detailed documentation including functional specifications, data models, and test cases.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at both technical and non-technical levels.
• Proficiency with process flow and project management tools such as Microsoft Project and MS Visio.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive, independent work style.
• Flexible availability to work at least 4–5 hours per day in the EST time zone.
