We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment in Walla Walla, Washington. This is a temporary, full-time onsite role expected to last approximately 4–6 months, with potential for permanent hire based on business needs and performance.
This position partners closely with plant leadership to manage day-to-day HR operations, support employees and managers, and ensure compliance with Washington State labor laws.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary HR partner for the production location, managing all onsite HR activities
- Support leaders with recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and workforce planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable Washington State employment laws
- Manage payroll coordination and serve as a point of contact for benefits and open enrollment
- Coach and train supervisors and managers on HR processes and systems
- Oversee HR administration and ensure timely, accurate execution of HR tasks
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on hourly and salaried hiring needs
- Support safety initiatives and participate in safety-related activities
- Provide HR data, metrics, and reporting as needed
- Collaborate with HR colleagues across locations to share best practices
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 5-7+ years of human resources experience in a similar role, including employee relations and staffing
- Strong knowledge of Washington State labor laws
- Manufacturing or production environment HR experience preferred
- Experience with payroll administration, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
