Overview
The client is building enterprise-scale backend microservices for a large systems integration initiative within its Food & Beverage mobile platform. The backend team develops RESTful APIs relied upon by multiple teams to deliver seamless guest experiences.
This role is strictly backend (no front-end or full-stack work).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and document RESTful APIs and backend microservices
- Develop services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and QE teams in a Scaled Agile environment
- Ensure APIs are scalable, reliable, and consumable by dependent systems
- Apply best practices, including Unit Testing and TDD
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement efforts
Required Skills
- 5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
- Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs / microservices
- Experience with NoSQL databases (CouchDB or MongoDB preferred)
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
- Strong communication skills
