About HeyDonto

HeyDonto is a U.S.-based healthcare intelligence company headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. We are building the foundation for autonomous healthcare intelligence, a platform that transforms fragmented EHR and dental data into living, interoperable systems capable of self-healing, adaptation, and semantic understanding. Our patented evolutionary neural network technology dynamically maps legacy data structures into FHIR without exposure to LLMs or data retention, enabling secure, bi-directional, real-time interoperability across healthcare ecosystems.

Our product vision evolves across four scientific phases from data transformation, to adaptive self-healing architectures, to self-evolving cognitive substrates, and ultimately to semantic intelligence and autonomous networks for population-scale healthcare.

We’re looking for a VP of Product who can turn this deeply technical vision into accessible, elegant, and scalable products that bridge engineering brilliance with real-world clinical impact.

Role Overview

As VP of Product, you will lead HeyDonto’s product organization defining the roadmap, driving cross-functional execution, and translating our research and engineering advances into powerful customer-facing experiences. You’ll be the connective tissue between our engineering core and our customers’ operational realities helping both worlds understand each other and shaping the future of healthcare data intelligence.

This role requires a rare combination of technical fluency, strategic thinking, and customer empathy. You’ll work closely with engineering, data science, and forward-deployed product teams to design APIs, workflows, and interfaces that make complex data orchestration and AI-driven transformations intuitive and trustworthy for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and own HeyDonto’s product strategy, aligning technical capabilities with customer value and long-term company vision.
  • Translate HeyDonto’s multi-phase scientific roadmap (from data transformation to self-evolving intelligence) into concrete, prioritized product milestones.
  • Build and lead a world-class product organization, including product managers, designers, and forward-deployed engineers.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, CTO, and research leadership to integrate scientific discoveries into scalable, compliant product offerings.

Customer & Market Understanding

  • Partner with healthcare organizations, data engineers, and integrators to understand real-world API, ETL, and data harmonization needs.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities like bi-directional FHIR/HL7 APIs, schema digestion, and mapping engines into clear product narratives and user stories.

Serve as a bridge between customers and engineering:

  • Distill customer feedback, identify unmet needs, and transform insights into actionable product initiatives.
  • Shape pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies for API and data services based on customer usage patterns and technical complexity.

Technical & Product Execution

  • Collaborate with engineering leads to define product architecture decisions, data pipelines, and API interfaces with scalability, compliance, and performance in mind.
  • Oversee product specifications for FHIR, HL7, and custom data model integrations.
  • Champion best practices in product engineering, including forward-deployed engineering principles embedding product managers alongside engineering teams to accelerate feedback loops.
  • Ensure that every product release combines scientific integrity, technical precision, and exceptional user experience.
  • Translate deeply technical systems Kafka orchestration, Temporal workflows, Confluent-based data streaming, and AI mapping engines into intuitive UI/UX experiences for customers.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Data Science to operationalize AI research (evolutionary neural networks, self-healing mapping, semantic intelligence) into production-grade features.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Security to ensure regulatory readiness (HIPAA, ONC, CMS standards).
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to define customer journeys, technical documentation, and training materials that demystify HeyDonto’s AI-powered interoperability solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management or product leadership roles, including 3+ years in a VP or Head of Product capacity.
  • Strong technical background capable of reading and discussing data pipelines, schemas, APIs, and architectural diagrams with engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare data systems (EHR, FHIR, HL7, DICOM, etc.) and interoperability standards.
  • Experience working with complex data integration or AI/ML products (e.g., ETL pipelines, data harmonization, API-driven platforms).
  • Proven ability to turn advanced research and technical concepts into commercially successful products.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and storytelling skills able to bridge scientists, engineers, customers, and investors.
  • Track record of designing or leading products that simplify technical complexity into clear, usable experiences.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare AI, health tech infrastructure, or regulated environments (HIPAA, CMS, ONC).
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Temporal, GCP, Confluent, and distributed microservice architectures.
  • Understanding of evolutionary or biomimetic AI, self-healing architectures, or neuromorphic systems (not required, but advantageous).
  • Experience leading forward-deployed or technical product teams interfacing with customer engineering environments.
  • Strong intuition for data UX building interfaces that reveal deep technical power through simple design.

What Success Looks Like

HeyDonto’s complex scientific and technical foundation is translated into clear, compelling product lines.

Customers can intuitively use our APIs, data pipelines, and management interfaces without deep schema knowledge.

Engineering teams receive precise, actionable product requirements grounded in real customer feedback.

Product releases reflect a consistent balance between visionary innovation and pragmatic customer value.

The company’s scientific vision becomes tangible in production-grade systems that scale across the healthcare ecosystem.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: Based on experience and location.

Benefits: Healthcare coverage, PTO, remote-work support, and equipment stipend.

International candidates: Contractor or local-entity employment structures supported.

Why Join Us

At HeyDonto, you won’t just lead a product, you’ll shape an entirely new category of healthcare intelligence. You’ll help build the bridge between the science of emergent AI and the reality of clinical data systems, transforming healthcare from reactive to adaptive, from fragmented to alive.
