A well established organisation is looking for a BI Developer to join their Business Intelligence team on a short term contract or fixed term basis.

This role has been created to add delivery capacity during a busy period and will focus on migrating existing legacy reports into Power BI. You will be joining a small, established BI function with leadership and reporting infrastructure already in place, so this is a delivery focused role rather than a strategic or greenfield build.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate legacy reports and dashboards into Power BI

• Build and optimise production ready Power BI dashboards

• Write and maintain advanced DAX measures

• Query existing SQL schemas to retrieve and model data

• Ensure dashboards are performant, documented, and ready for use

• Work closely with BI leadership and analysts to meet tight deadlines

• Communicate progress clearly and proactively

Required experience

• Strong Power BI experience building production dashboards

• Advanced DAX capability

• Experience using version control with Power BI

• Strong SQL querying skills

• Comfortable working with existing data models

• Around 2 to 5 years experience

• Strong communication skills are essential

Nice to have

• Experience migrating or modernising legacy reporting

• Experience working in small BI teams with high ownership
