Job Description
Global Chief Branding Architect (Founding, Fractional)
Oh! Love Ya Dawn Company
Global · Founding Role · Fractional to Start · Equity-Based
About Oh! Love Ya Dawn
Oh! Love Ya Dawn is a mission-driven ecosystem built to protect, support, and empower children and families — and to create enduring companies, programs, and research initiatives that serve that mission.
The ecosystem includes:
- Oh! Love Ya Dawn Company — a for-profit company that builds brands, products, platforms, and intellectual property
- Oh! Love Ya Dawn Foundation — a 501(c)(3) focused on safeguarding, child wellbeing, education, and family support
The Company and Foundation are intentionally interlinked but operationally distinct, allowing the organization to pursue both impact and sustainability without compromising either.
How the Organization Is Built: Order, Chaos, Constellation
Oh! Love Ya Dawn operates across three structural modes:
- Chaos — early creation, experimentation, and ideation
- Constellation — systems thinking, research, architecture, and connective tissue
- Order — execution, storytelling, operations, and scale
New subsidiaries, programs, and initiatives often originate in Chaos or Constellation long before they are ready for Order.
This role lives primarily in Constellation, bridging early creation into coherent form so that Order can happen cleanly later.
Role Purpose
The Global Chief Branding Architect is responsible for creating the visual and symbolic foundations of new entities as they come into existence within the Oh! Love Ya Dawn universe.
When a new subsidiary, program, lab, or initiative is being formed — sometimes before staff, budget, or launch plans exist — this role ensures it has:
- a name that holds meaning
- a symbol or mark that carries intent
- a visual identity that can be used responsibly and legally
- coherence with the broader ecosystem
This is not marketing.
This is infrastructure for meaning.
What This Role Is / Is Not
This role is not:
- Marketing or growth
- Campaign, content, or social ownership
- Demand generation or promotion
- Storytelling execution
This role is:
- Brand architecture and symbolic design
- Early-stage visual identity creation
- Trademark-ready identity scaffolding
- A global-level function that precedes storytelling and operations
Core Responsibilities
- Design foundational visual identities for new subsidiaries, programs, and initiatives
- Develop early:
- names and naming logic
- logos, marks, and symbols
- visual metaphors and identity systems
- trademark-ready assets where appropriate
- Translate abstract or emerging concepts into clear, durable symbolic form
- Maintain coherence across a growing portfolio of entities without forcing sameness
- Support subsidiary presidents and program leaders with foundational branding until full transition into structured storytelling and operational Order
- Partner with Legal & IP to ensure early identities are protectable and appropriately governed
Collaboration & Interfaces
This role collaborates with, but does not replace, the following functions:
- Founder / Global CEO
- Storytelling & Narrative Leadership (Order)
- Creative Direction
- Legal & Intellectual Property
- Safeguarding & Governance
- Subsidiary Presidents and Program Leads
Collaboration is architectural, upstream, and trust-based.
Mission & Safeguarding Context
Because the Foundation’s work centers on children and families, care, restraint, and responsibility matter in how things are named and symbolized.
This role must understand that branding choices are not cosmetic — they shape:
- trust
- safety
- cultural interpretation
- long-term accountability
Every symbol must be worthy of the mission it represents.
Trust & Scope
This is a high-trust, global-scope role.
The Global Chief Branding Architect will routinely work with:
- incomplete information
- confidential or sensitive initiatives
- ideas that may not be public for a long time — or ever
Discretion, systems thinking, and long-range judgment are essential.
Structure & Compensation
- Founding, fractional role to start
- Equity-based compensation under standard Oh! Love Ya Dawn agreements
- Fully remote and flexible
- Scope expands as the ecosystem grows
This role exists to ensure that as Oh! Love Ya Dawn grows in complexity, it never loses coherence, integrity, or meaning.
