Role Summary:
The DevOps Engineer will architect, maintain, and optimise hosting environments, CI/CD processes, and monitoring systems. The role ensures seamless deployments, strong security posture, and high service reliability as application usage and hosting capacities expand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for modern application delivery.
- Oversee cloud hosting, server administration, and infrastructure configuration.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks.
- Ensure system security and enforce best practice controls.
- Automate infrastructure workflows to optimise deployment cycles.
- Support incident response, disaster recovery, and uptime management.
- Conduct performance tuning and scalability planning.
- Work cross-functionally with product and development teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud environments.
- Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Linux/Unix systems administration and network fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity and secure deployment.
- Experience supporting high-traffic hosted applications.
