About The Role

We’re looking for a Director, Pipeline Insights on the Commercial Effectiveness team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Forecasting Insights & Analytics, you will lead the development and communication of actionable insights to help shape commercial strategy for pipeline assets. You will partner closely with Marketing, Analytics, Forecasting, Finance, and Market Access colleagues.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will lead market research projects and deliver strategic business recommendations through the consolidation of insights from market research, analytics, and competitive intelligence. You’ll also:

  • Identify / anticipate key business questions to inform projects that will deliver actionable insights for the commercial team, through collaboration and partnership across the organization
  • Design research plans to address key business questions, inform strategy development, and support portfolio planning
  • Lead market research projects, including defining the objectives, overseeing execution, interpreting the results, and communicating the results with clarity, while ensuring projects are conducted in accordance with internal compliance policies and best practices
  • Manage external research vendors—including scoping, RFP processes, methodology approval, and budget oversight
  • Identify / summarize key insights through the integration of market research results with secondary data findings in partnership with the analytics team
  • Translate complex data into compelling narratives that drive strategic decision-making
  • Ensure cross-functional communication and alignment to maximize impact of insights
  • Develop expertise in relevant therapeutic areas and assets in development to ensure accurate data interpretation
  • Become a trusted partner to members of the Commercial Effectiveness team and cross-functional teams


Who You Are

You have a Bachelor’s degree along with 7 years of experience in strategic consulting, market research, or business development in the biopharmaceutical industry (mix of education and experience also considered).

You Are Or You Also Have

  • Experience within the US market
  • Proven record of success through teamwork and execution
  • Ability to identify and understand business opportunities and develop a research plan that will provide actionable insights
  • Inquisitive nature with the ability to dig deeper into the insights and identify the ‘why’ behind the data and trends, and synthesize this into a clear and concise output
  • Proven ability to align diverse viewpoints around strategic recommendations
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel/ PowerPoint/ Word)
  • Strong and agile team player able to adapt and execute based on evolving business needs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness


Nice To Have (but Not Required)

  • Degree in business, marketing, statistics, or related field
  • MBA, MS or other advanced degree
  • Rare disease / specialty / respiratory experience
  • Experience with life cycle management / early pipeline


Where You’ll Work

This is a fully remote role. It can be performed effectively from anywhere while staying connected to your Insmed team and community. Occasional travel for team meetings or events will be expected.

Travel Requirements

This role requires occasional domestic travel (approximately 15%)

Pay Range

$177,000.00-242,000.00 Annual
