Job Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Amazing Freedom Brands is an 8-figure portfolio of multiple brands selling on Amazon, Shopify, Walmart and retail marketplaces. We are bootstrapped, profitable, and built without outside capital or debt. Our core values of People, Excellence, Teachability, Reliability and Ambition create an outstanding culture and guide everything we do. Successful candidates will fully embody these five core values.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Operations Systems & Analytics Manager serves as the systems expert, analytical brain, and automation engine for AFB's operational functions. This role ensures the Ops team has real-time visibility into operational performance across all channels (Amazon FBA, Walmart WFS, Shopify, Retail) while building and maintaining the systems that drive forecasting, purchasing, inventory management, order fulfillment, and cost-efficient decisions. This is a data-heavy, systems-focused position for someone who thrives on providing information that drives decision-making across the organization. The position reports to the COO, is fully remote, and operates dormal normal US business hours

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

AFB is scaling aggressively across channels, which is increasing the complexity of managing inventory, forecasting demand, purchasing, logistics, fulfillment, and cost management. This role ensures that growth doesn't come at the expense of operational efficiency or margins. You'll build the infrastructure that allows leadership to make faster, smarter decisions—turning operations from a reactive function into a strategic advantage while ensuring we maintain optimal inventory levels and maximize forecast accuracy across all channels.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Partner with Brand Management, Marketing, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to ensure the accuracy of all parameters driving forecasting software
  • Support cross-functional communication with sales, logistics, and operations regarding upcoming demand changes and promotional activities
  • Translate forecasts into clear, actionable PO and inventory movement recommendations with optimal purchase timing and movement across distribution network
  • Monitor inventory levels to identify potential stockouts, overstocks, gaps in supply, or cross-channel inventory allocation issues
  • Work with new product development to ensure launch products are well-defined, forecasted, and properly set up in supply chain software platforms
  • Prepare routine reports on demand vs. actual sales, forecast accuracy, and inventory health

Operations Metrics, Reporting & Analysis

  • Build and maintain comprehensive Operations KPI dashboards and ensure a single source of truth for all Operations metrics across the organization
  • Develop and maintain full landed cost visibility by product, brand, channel (Amazon, Shopify, retail), and fulfillment method (FBA vs 3PL vs internal warehouse)
  • Conduct regular analysis of freight, storage, pick/pack, and FBA fees, including 3PL vs in-house warehouse cost comparisons
  • Surface actionable insights such as SKU optimization opportunities, unprofitable SKUs by channel or pack size, and retail DC overstock or understock patterns
  • Function as the operations-side P&L analyst, providing continuous insight on how operations impacts contribution margin and opportunities for improvement

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Own the mandate to automate repetitive Ops reporting or workflows
  • Implement automated solutions including weekly PO suggestion reports, daily FBA inventory and restock recommendation bots, and internal alerts for critical events (low stock, 3PL SLA breaches, retail DCs below target)
  • Deploy AI-assisted tools for classifying systemic customer service issues and generating narrative summaries of weekly ops performance
  • Connect SaaS tools, ERPs, and BI platforms to create seamless data flows
  • Systematically eliminate manual reporting workflows through intelligent automation
  • Execute ad hoc analyses to support day-to-day supply chain and operations decisions
  • Proactively identify issues before being asked and deliver findings in a simple, actionable way

ERP & Supply Chain Software Administration

  • Maintain ERP and forecasting software platforms (Fulfil, Flieber, etc.) to ensure accurate data and smooth workflows
  • Ensure data integrity and reporting consistency across Fulfil, 3PL systems, Amazon, and Shopify
  • Own and maintain item master data (weights, dimensions, pack sizes, barcodes) and location master with cross-system mapping
  • Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate updates, and maintain user permissions
  • Partner with warehouse and supply chain leads to identify and fix process breakdowns where data integrity fails

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE CHALLENGING

  • Data complexity: Managing and reconciling data across 4+ platforms (Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, ERP, 3PL systems) with varying data quality and structures
  • Speed vs. accuracy: Balancing the need for quick insights in a fast-paced e-commerce environment with the requirement for accurate, trustworthy data
  • Stakeholder management: Building trust and communicating effectively with teams who may not be data-fluent, translating complex analyses into simple, actionable recommendations
  • Constant evolution: E-commerce platforms, fees, and best practices change frequently—you'll need to stay current and adapt systems accordingly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full alignment with AFB's core values: People, Excellence, Teachability, Reliability, and Ambition
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations analytics, supply chain, or e-commerce operations
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills (forecasting, scenario planning, financial analysis)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into executive-ready insights and recommendations
  • Track record of building automated reporting solutions or improving data processes
  • Hands-on experience with e-commerce marketplace platforms including Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, and/or Walmart Seller Center
  • Experience with ERP/WMS platforms, including backend setup (product management, mapping, troubleshooting, data maintenance)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Fulfil ERP or similar modern cloud-based ERP systems
  • Experience with Flieber or similar demand forecasting software for e-commerce
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, JavaScript, or API integrations (we have existing automations you'd help maintain and improve—you don't need to be a developer, but comfort with code is valuable)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of forecasting principles for both e-commerce and retail channels
  • Experience in high-growth e-commerce companies managing multi-channel inventory
