Job – Senior Graphic Designer / Illustrator
Location: 100% Remote USA
Duration: 05 Months
Must Have - Portfolios must highlight mixed-media, editorial, or conceptual imagery, ideally for thought-leadership or tech content, showing brand consistency and series/sets of work. Portfolios focused on presentation design or UX/product-only work are not suitable.
Focus: Producing brand-aligned mixed-media imagery at scale.

Core Responsibilities
1. Image Creation
- Produce consistent sets of imagery within established brand system.
- Begin with BAU tasks to learn styles and workflows.
- Potential future involvement: exploring new blog hero imagery styles.
2. Collaboration & Workflow
- Work within a ticket-based system.
- Attend kickoffs, critiques, meetings, and project reviews.
- Collaborate with other designers and stakeholders.
- Optional (not required): Art-direct freelance illustrators/designers, depending on experience.
Top Required Skills
1. Mixed Media Image Creation (Critical / Must-Have)
- Non-negotiable skill set.
- Candidates must show experience with:
- Mixed media
- Collage
- Editorial/conceptual illustration
- Visual design for brand/creative teams
- Ideal: experience creating imagery for blogs, thought leadership, or publication-style content.
2. Software Skills
- Adobe Photoshop + Illustrator – primary tools.
- Figma – must understand basics (placement, commenting, navigating).
- Nice-to-have: using libraries, components, variables.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (any; Jira not required).
- Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) tools (uses Orange).
3. Brand Systems + Design Systems
- Must demonstrate ability to produce work that aligns with a mature brand system.
- Nice-to-have: contributing to design/brand systems.
4. Portfolio Requirements
Must show strong mixed-media capabilities, specifically:
- Collage, editorial, or conceptual imagery
- Work for thought-leadership or publication-style content
- Imagery in the tech space (visualizing abstract concepts/processes)
- Series or sets showing consistency and brand alignment
- Clear ability to design within a brand identity
Not strong portfolio indicators:
- Presentation design work
- UX/product-only work
5. Nice-to-Haves
- Motion/animation experience (not required)
- Freelance art direction experience
- Work with high-quality tech brands (Google, Intercom, Microsoft, etc.)
Experience Level
- 5–10+ years, with preference for more senior candidates (≈10 years).
- Flexibility on years as long as mixed-media expertise is strong.
