Yext is actively seeking a Senior Security Engineer reporting to the Manager of Application Security within the Cyber Security Office. This role will serve as a technical team expert for our Infrastructure Security program, focusing on identity and access management, security architecture, and vulnerability management. The role will enable product, engineering, IT and security teams to make the right security decisions by implementing and maintaining infrastructure security controls, managing security tools and configurations, and participating in security incident response. In this role you will also assist other Cyber Security leaders in driving a culture of security awareness within Yext, promote Security best practices, and support compliance initiatives. This role is fully on-site in our Hyderabad, India office.
What You'll Do
- Drive the maturity of our Infrastructure Security program by identifying gaps and developing optimized solutions
- Develop and implement a data-driven technical roadmap that will define the maturity of Infrastructure Security
- Lead implementations and integrations of enterprise security tools and controls, including but not limited to Okta, CrowdStrike, and FortiCNAPP.
- Optimize and oversee the infrastructure vulnerability management program, including implementation of scanning tools and remediation processes
- Develop comprehensive patch management strategies across systems
- Create and implement security policies, procedures and standards for security functions
- Design security architecture for infrastructure tools and systems
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members
- Support security compliance programs and audits
- Collaborate closely with IT, Engineering and Product teams on security initiatives
- Design, monitor and report on security metrics and KPIs
- Design and implement advanced Linux security architectures and controls
- Lead DFIR investigations and establish forensic procedures
- Architect comprehensive logging solutions across AWS, GCP, and on-premises environments
- Develop detection strategies based on MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Lead security architecture reviews for critical systems and applications
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions
- Enable SLA compliances and process improvement to meet operational objectives
- Oversee technical delivery of security initiatives, ensuring operational excellence
- 6-9 years of relevant work experience in Security Engineering
- Demonstrable record of delivering critical security solutions across multiple stakeholder groups
- Expert-level knowledge of identity management and infrastructure security
- Strong experience with cloud security architecture and controls in AWS and GCP environments
- CISSP, GCSA, or equivalent certification
- Advanced skills in security automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO)
- Experience with security compliance programs (e.g., FedRAMP, ISO27k, SOC2)
- Advanced Linux system security expertise and hardening techniques
- Knowledge of logging architecture, SIEM implementation, and log analysis
- Advanced understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and its practical application
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
