About The Role
Gray Media is seeking a talented Flutter Developer to join our remote team, primarily serving the USA market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining engaging mobile applications using Flutter, with additional native iOS development experience in Swift. This role is integral to enhancing Gray’s mobile news experience and delivering innovative features across multiple platforms, including television-based applications for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV. The developer will collaborate closely with a dynamic team of professionals, contributing to the design and implementation of new functionalities, ensuring seamless user experiences, and maintaining high standards of app quality and performance. The position offers an opportunity to work remotely while being part of a forward-thinking organization committed to excellence in digital media and technology.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on Flutter development experience
- Proficiency in cross-platform app development, state management, app architecture, and Dart programming
- Native iOS development experience using Swift
- Successful track record of releasing mobile apps on Apple App Store and Google Play Store
- Familiarity with Xcode, Apple Developer Program provisioning, and integrating Swift modules into Flutter projects
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub
- Knowledge of mobile app design principles and UI/UX best practices
- Experience developing features such as push notifications, video players, permissions, and privacy controls
- Understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, including automated testing and build processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, preferably Scrum-oriented
- Additional experience with native languages or frameworks such as Kotlin, React Native, or BrightScript is a plus
- Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications using Flutter for a seamless user experience across multiple platforms
- Collaborate with a team of developers to design, develop, and implement new features and updates
- Enhance and maintain native iOS components using Swift to ensure deeper platform integration when necessary
- Participate in designing visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces
- Integrate third-party SDKs and plugins to extend app functionality
- Publish and manage applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, ensuring proper configuration of native settings, certificates, and build workflows
