About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join Intralox’s Digital Solutions team. This strategic, high-visibility role involves taking ownership of the build, deployment, and release management systems that underpin our enterprise, manufacturing, and emerging machine-learning applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration across diverse application stacks including Java, Oracle, Microsoft, and front-end technologies. This role requires close collaboration with software engineers, IT professionals, and machine learning specialists to deliver optimized digital platforms that meet evolving technical and business needs.
The position is fully remote, with working hours aligned to Central Standard Time. The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in modernizing legacy systems, supporting hybrid cloud environments, and promoting best practices in release management and automation. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in DevOps, release engineering, or build automation
- Proficiency with Buildkite pipeline orchestration and YAML configurations
- Experience with FlexDeploy for Oracle deployments and WebLogic integrations
- Strong knowledge of GitHub version control systems, including branching strategies and repository workflows
- Hands-on experience with Azure hybrid cloud environments and integrating cloud services with on-premises infrastructure
- Expertise in Docker containerization, image optimization, and containerized build environments
- Scripting proficiency in Groovy, Python, Bash, and Perl for automation and tool integration
- Proven ability to scale automated build and deployment systems across complex application ecosystems
- Experience working with Java, Oracle, and Microsoft build ecosystems
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Design, automate, and maintain robust build and deployment pipelines for diverse applications including Java, Oracle, Microsoft, and front-end technologies
- Configure and optimize Buildkite pipelines, including multi-stage workflows, self-hosted agents, artifact management, and YAML definitions
- Support hybrid cloud environments by integrating Azure services with existing on-premises infrastructure
- Lead version-control governance using GitHub, establishing effective branching strategies and workflow standards
- Manage automated Oracle deployments utilizing FlexDeploy, PL/SQL workflows, and WebLogic integrations
- Build, optimize, and troubleshoot Docker images and containerized build environments to ensure efficiency and reliability
- Develop scripting solutions in Groovy, Python, Bash, and Perl to automate tools, system communication, and deployment processes
- Execute production releases during designated off-peak windows, including Friday evenings when necessary
- Drive modernization efforts of legacy build systems and assist in migrating to modern CI/CD platforms
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, define release standards, and promote continuous improvement in DevOps practices
- Partner with software, infrastructure, and machine learning teams to align deployment workflows with technical requirements and strategic goals
