Position Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Computer Vision Engineer to lead the development of advanced visual tracking and image processing algorithms for thermal camera systems used in unmanned platforms. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in embedded systems, machine learning, and real-time algorithm deployment.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and develop cutting-edge visual object tracking and image processing algorithms.
- Implement image correction techniques including Bad Pixel Correction, NUC, and thermal calibration.
- Execute calibration procedures such as factory-line NUC table generation and environmental compensation.
- Develop and optimize tracking algorithms (e.g., correlation filters, deep learning-based, feature-based).
- Integrate tracking solutions into real-time embedded systems with low-latency performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless hardware-software integration.
- Implement sensor fusion strategies using data from cameras, lidar, and other sensors.
- Enhance trackers to adapt to dynamic environments (lighting, weather, terrain).
- Apply machine learning to enable adaptive tracking in evolving scenarios.
- Benchmark and evaluate algorithm performance for unmanned applications.
- Optimize algorithms for resource-constrained environments.
Supporting Responsibilities
- Conduct lab and field tests to validate image quality and thermal sensitivity.
- Document algorithms, methodologies, and integration processes.
- Design and execute testing protocols for real-world validation.
- Contribute to technical reports and documentation.
- Maintain disciplined coding practices including commenting and bug tracking.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- 8+ years of experience in computer vision and image processing.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in C/C++ and Python.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning and tracking algorithms.
- Experience with CUDA and NVIDIA platforms.
- Skilled in deploying algorithms on DSPs and FPGAs.
- Familiar with version control systems and code maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
