Job Description

Our client is looking to onboard an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to oversee the full employee life cycle and act as the primary on-site HR representative in Malta.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day HR operations with strategic, franchise-wide collaboration across multiple locations. If you’re highly organised, people-focused, and confident navigating Maltese labour law, this could be your next step.

🔍 What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the main HR point of contact, ensuring full compliance with local employment legislation
  • Manage the complete employee life cycle: on boarding, contracts, internal transfers, offboarding & exit interviews
  • Maintain accurate HR records, HRIS data, sick leave, and vacation tracking
  • Support monthly payroll preparation in collaboration with Finance
  • Develop and implement local HR policies aligned with ICFR standards and group frameworks
  • Provide guidance on employee well being, workplace matters, and HR processes
  • Liaise with local authorities and legal advisors on labour compliance
  • Represent Malta HR in franchise and group-level discussions
  • Coordinate recruitment activities with the central Recruitment Hub
  • Support international relocation and cross-border HR coordination
  • Own the annual Performance Review cycle end-to-end
  • Contribute to harmonizing HR policies across offices to support a scalable HR function

✅ What we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years’ experience as an HR Generalist or HR Coordinator, ideally in a fast-paced or international environment
  • Strong knowledge of Maltese employment law (experience with Germany is a plus)
  • Ability to manage multiple HR workflows independently
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of discretion
  • Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in hybrid and distributed team
  • Experience with (or willingness to learn) HiBob (HRIS) and CRM systems
