Job Description
About the Role- GoLang Backend Developer
Salary- €45-60,000
Fully Remote
Reporting to the CTO, you will join a small, focused engineering team building and scaling our flagship compliance and identity verification platform. You'll work alongside 1 Senior Backend Developer, 1 Senior Frontend Developer (Team Lead), and 2 Full Stack Developers to deliver secure, high-performance services that help our customers meet regulatory requirements and manage risk.
What You'll Do
- Design and build highly performant microservices and REST APIs that power AML screening, identity verification, and case management workflows
- Develop integrations with third-party data providers and security services
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code with strong attention to security best practices
- Collaborate with product, compliance operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and bi-weekly release cycles
- Maintain technical documentation including API specs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks
- Contribute to infrastructure management and CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Monitor production systems and respond to incidents within SLA commitments
- Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to identity verification, compliance, and secure software development
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 4–5+ years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Golang (C# experience is a plus)
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, HTTP, and RESTful API design
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, and agile workflows
- Commitment to automated testing and code quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Background in regulated industries (fintech, compliance, identity)
- Understanding of security-first development practices and data protection requirements
