AWS DevOps Engineer – Hybrid Cloud & Data

Contract - 9 months - Inside IR35

Location: Fully Remote

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting large-scale data migration projects. In this role, you will work closely with DataStage engineers to design, develop, test, and deliver robust data migration solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers to develop and implement data migration solutions.
• Build, maintain, and enhance AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation).
• Develop Lambda functions and Step Functions to support automated workflows.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and testing.
• Write Python scripts and unit tests to support automation and data workflows.
• Manage AWS security and IAM features, including users, roles, service boundaries, and SCPs.
• Work with version control systems such as Git to manage code.
• Participate in project tracking and issue management using Jira.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven AWS DevOps experience, with strong hands-on skills in infrastructure, security, and automation.
• Proficient in Python development and unit testing.
• Familiarity with data migration methodologies such as MOSAIC, IBM 10-step, or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Proactive problem solver with a commitment to continuous learning.
