The Role
This is a high-impact position where you'll lead a major projects in your first six months while launching new products that will define our next chapter. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Digital Product and E-commerce, you'll own the full design process—from wireframing to implementation.
Responsibilities
- Define and create repeatable design process and principles
- Design all digital experiences for the ecommerce platform and beyond
- Collaborate with product, e-commerce, engineering, and marketing teams to achieve shared goals
- Translate sensory experiences and brand essence into digital experiences that feel premium
- Balance custom design with practical, plug-and-play capabilities—knowing when to innovate and when to use what works
- Move quickly without sacrificing quality, understanding when to make trade-offs
- Provide and receive constructive feedback, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth
- Design user feedback mechanisms, surveys, and A/B tests that drive data-informed decisions and optimize conversions
- Conduct user research to understand customer needs and behaviors, continuously iterating based on insights
Qualifications
- 4 or more years of year of digital design experience across ecommerce and subscription brands
- Demonstrated experience designing for Shopify, understanding both its possibilities and practical limitations
- Advanced proficiency in Figma for design and collaboration
- Hands-on experience with user research methodologies and designing qualitative and qualitative tests
- Hands-on experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to inform and defend design decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Practical experience with HTML and CSS to support design implementation and iteration
- Scrappy mindset—comfortable wearing multiple hats and creating structure in ambiguous situations

What You'll Do
Immediate Impact (First 6 Months)
- Lead the design of a comprehensive brand refresh
- Launch new products with compelling digital experiences
- Design user feedback mechanisms and surveys that drive data-informed decisions
Ongoing Responsibilities
- Create premium e-commerce experiences on Shopify that balance custom design with practical, plug-and-play capabilities - from wireframing to prototyping, owning the full design process
- Design thoughtful UI/UX that translates sensory experiences into digital touchpoints
- Conduct user research and design A/B tests to validate design decisions and optimize performance
- Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to achieve shared goals
- Continuously iterate based on customer feedback, test results and performance data
- Move quickly without sacrificing quality, understanding when to make trade-offs

- Based in Canada with flexibility to work remotely or from our Vancouver or Toronto offices
- Expert-level Figma skills
- Experience with customer research and feedback integration
