Lead QA Automation Engineer

6 month contract to hire

We’re looking for a Lead QA Automation Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and API/web testing. This role will lead automation efforts across agile scrum teams, designing and executing automated test cases for both UI and backend services. The ideal candidate will have expertise with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, and HP ALM, and be skilled in JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as this engineer will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Experience in healthcare and claims systems is a plus. 100% Remote.

MUST HAVES:

• 5-7 years experience
• Hands on software quality assurance testing experience required.
• Experienced with test automation and tools utilized in the industry required.
• Experience in writing Java script, VB Script and Script required
• Working knowledge of version control systems such as SVN required.
• Advanced skills in SQL data retrieval from a relational database required.
• Knowledge of web services and API testing required.
• Jira, Qtest, Postman, API testing, HP ALM, REST SOAP, Selenium and Cypress, Javascript, Typescript
• Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities:

• Day to day in this role will require resource to work in agile scrum team and involves designing, executing, and documenting test cases to identify defects in software applications while collaborating with the development team to ensure the delivery of high quality products.
• Also includes attending meetings, analyzing test results and performing regression testing.

Performance:

• Resource should ensure the delivery of high-quality software products through thorough testing and maintenance according to established quality standards and metrics.
