Data Analyst - Business Operations

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
• 3 years of experience in statistical problem solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
• 2 years of experience with designing experiments, developing statistical models, measurement, and identifying business opportunities.
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership on decision making.
• Experience in data analysis, with the ability to solve problems in changing and ambiguous business environments through data intuition and business acumen.
• Knowledge of Google tools (e.g., Plex, BQ, etc.).
• Ability to effectively communicate analysis and recommendations across a wide range of non-technical audiences.

As part of this team you fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Taking strategy one step further, you also persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior-level executives, roll-up your sleeves to help drive implementation and check back-in to see the impact of your recommendations.

In this role, you will be part of a small but impactful globally distributed team helping to drive the overall performance and direction of Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG) and the GTIG operations and programs organization. You will be responsible for actively collaborating with several partner organizations (including cloud security strategy and operations, Product Management, Engineering and Finance) to drive action. You will possess the ability to connect, analyze, present and correlate data to best tell the story of our performance health. Flexibility, a healthy sense of curiosity and the ability to communicate powerfully will also be tenets of success in your role.

Responsibilities

• Use data to conduct data-oriented analysis, architect metrics, synthesize information, solve problems, and influence business decision-making by presenting insights and market trends.
• Design and implement various integrations between business objectives and design and build strategies that support these business systems.
• Create, collate and analyze present combined Intel product and service delivery line (business, business growth, customer) results and forecasts, resource management data and other key business line operational metrics to extract valuable insights for business unit leadership action.
• Support intelligence customer and vendor transaction monitoring, discounting, approval flow, service agreements and throughput.
• Assist in the tracking of GTIG projects and objectives and key results performance.
