Job Description


The Opportunity 

Shalehaven Partners is looking for a Director of Capital Formation to join our team in Dallas. We are an asset management firm with a strong track record in / focusing on the energy sector. As we move into our third annual fund, we are looking for the right person to build upon our existing, successfully-built fundraising infrastructure and take significant ownership of the strategy and execution for future funds.


What This Role Is (And What It Isn’t) 

This is not a "dial for dollars" sales role. We are protective of our reputation and our investors. We are not interested in raising capital just to hit a quota; we are looking for the right capital / investor base. Accordingly, we need a Director who operates with a fiduciary mindset. You will be an important face of the firm to our investor partners - ensuring they feel informed, valued, and aligned with our strategy.


What You Will Do

  • Master the Strategy: You will dive deep into our product, investment thesis, and differentiators. Success in this role requires the ability to educate very sophisticated investors and entities (Family Offices / RIA Platforms) on why we do what we do, not just what we are selling.
  • Know the Market: You will stay current on other funds and market developments. We expect you to understand the competitive landscape so we can effectively highlight what makes Shalehaven unique.
  • Grow the Base: Focus initially on leveraging our established fundraising channels and eventually open new doors for the future.
  • Manage the Machine: This is a hands-on role. You will be responsible for managing our CRM, keeping the investor portal updated, and handling the administrative side of the investor lifecycle.
  • Communicate: You will draft clear, transparent updates for our partners. Additionally, clear / robust communication and reporting with the Co-Founders and wider team will be vital.


The Logistics

  • Timing: End of Q1/26+ start date
  • Location: Dallas, TX (In-office 3 days/week).
  • Travel: ~1 week/month.
  • Relocation: We are willing to pay relocation expenses for the right fit.


Who Fits Here?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree is required. Every member of the Shalehaven team holds an advanced degree, so a Master’s degree and/or post-graduate charter or certification (CFA etc.) is a bonus. 
  • Character: You are ethical, responsive, and autonomous.
  • Approach: You have experience in capital formation but prefer the "trusted advisor" approach over the "great salesman" moniker.
  • Skills: You have demonstrated, excellent written communication and personal skills.
  • Bonus points (but not required): Oil & Gas knowledge.


Compensation 

We offer a strong base salary with a performance bonus structure – commensurate with experience and demonstrated value add. Please note that we do not pay sales commissions, as we believe this ensures our team remains legally compliant and focused on long-term investor value rather than short-term transactions.
