Job Overview:
Cloudologix is seeking a dedicated AWS Support Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to provide technical support for our AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting AWS environments, ensuring the smooth operation of cloud services, and supporting deployments. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain service availability, optimize cloud performance, and resolve any AWS-related technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- AWS Environment Support: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure components, such as EC2, S3, VPCs, RDS, and IAM.
- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve technical incidents related to AWS services, ensuring minimal downtime and fast recovery.
- Optimization and Automation: Identify opportunities for optimizing AWS resources and costs and implement automation where applicable using tools like AWS Lambda or CloudFormation.
- Security and Compliance: Assist in securing the AWS environment by managing IAM policies, applying security best practices, and responding to security threats using AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, and AWS Security Hub.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage backup strategies using AWS Backup and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain technical documentation and create reports on system health, resource usage, and incident resolution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, DevOps, and other teams to support AWS operations, troubleshoot issues, and assist in cloud-based deployments and migrations.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in supporting AWS environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS Config.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation using Python, AWS CLI, or similar tools.
- Understanding of AWS backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve AWS-related issues efficiently.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and clients.
Preferred Requirements
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Ops Administrator)
Familiarity with Well Architected Framework
