We are building a next-generation cloud software business focused on helping organizations operate, govern, and scale data effectively in the cloud. Born out of deep enterprise experience, this team develops modern B2B software solutions that address complex challenges such as data publishing, data consumption, governance, and cloud infrastructure management.

We are seeking a Senior Lead Back-End Software Engineer to join a highly innovative product and engineering organization. In this role, you will help shape and scale cloud-native platforms while leading technical teams and driving high-impact solutions to market.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a portfolio of complex technology initiatives and guide a team of experienced engineers building distributed, cloud-native back-end systems
• Design and deliver scalable microservices and platform capabilities that meet enterprise, regulatory, and reliability requirements
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders to deliver impactful cloud-based solutions
• Mentor engineers, contribute to technical direction, and promote engineering excellence across the organization
• Stay current with emerging technologies, experiment with new tools and frameworks, and engage with internal and external engineering communities
• Review, evaluate, and occasionally write production-quality code

Technologies You’ll Work With

• Programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and Go
• Open-source relational and NoSQL databases
• Containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes
• Public cloud platforms and services, primarily AWS

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships)
• 1+ year of experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• 9+ years of experience in one or more back-end programming languages (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go)
• 4+ years of experience building solutions on AWS or Azure
• 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks
• 1+ year of people leadership or team management experience
• 2+ years of experience working in Agile development environments

• Fully remote role within the United States

Compensation

• Remote (U.S.): $209,000 – $238,500 base salary
• Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and role scope
