Job Description


Back-end Software Developer (Python & DevOps) @ Relock


Location: Fully remote, based in Poland, flexible working hours (CET-aligned)

Experience: 3+ years in back-end engineering (esp. Python & AWS)

Contract: B2B

Compensation: 16,000–21,000 PLN/month (+ VAT if applicable)


The Role

We are looking for a Back-end Developer with strong Python proficiency and solid DevOps experience, particularly on AWS. This is a hands-on role where you will work across application back-end development and cloud infrastructure, helping us build, scale, and operate secure, production-grade systems.

You will collaborate closely with our Product Development team to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing services powering Relock’s platform.


Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain back-end services and APIs (primarily in Python).
  • Develop and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS with a strong focus on reliability and security.
  • Design, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with product developers to deliver integrated, production-ready solutions.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
  • Improve system scalability, performance, and operational resilience.
  • Contribute to back-end and DevOps best practices, tooling, and internal standards.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in back-end engineering.
  • Strong Python proficiency (production-grade experience required).
  • Solid DevOps experience, with a strong preference for AWS.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, Pulumi, or equivalent).
  • Good understanding of system reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Fluent Polish and very good English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup.


Nice to have:

  • Experience with Go and/or Rust.
  • Background in cybersecurity, IAM, or identity-related systems.
