We’re hiring an Android Engineer (contractor) to join a high-performing mobile platform team working on a large-scale, production Android application used by international, US and UK–based customers.
This is a rare opportunity to work in an environment with exceptionally high engineering standards, alongside a senior Android team (~10 engineers) made up of some of the strongest mobile engineers in Europe.
The technical bar is high, expectations are clear, and the learning curve is steep - if you enjoy improving your craft by working with great engineers, this is a standout contract.
The initial term is 4 months, with a strong likelihood of extension through to the end of 2026 for contractors who perform well.

- Work closely with senior engineers in a calm, professional environment
- Write clean, maintainable, production-quality Kotlin code
- Communicate confidently in English with distributed, international teams
- Be open about knowledge gaps and actively learn new approaches

Strong, recent experience with:
- Jetpack Compose (declarative UI)
- Kotlin, Coroutines, and Flow (reactive programming)
- MVVM architecture and modularisation best practices
- CI/CD automation using Fastlane and GitHub Actions
- Writing Gradle build scripts using Kotlin DSL
- Android testing principles and unit testing
- Consuming and working with GraphQL APIs

- Identity provider integrations
- Embedding web flows into native WebViews
- Payment provider integrations
