Network Engineering Manager

Ocho is partnering with a leading cybersecurity vendor to support the modernisation and scaling of their global network infrastructure. We are seeking a highly technical Network Engineering Manager to lead the design, delivery, and evolution of a globally distributed network and Points of Presence (PoPs).

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

• Take a critical, internet-level view of the network and define strategies to improve traffic flows across the internet and within PoPs.
• Partner with architects to design and execute a clear roadmap to modernise and stabilise network infrastructure.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Network Engineers, supporting growth into senior technical or management career paths.
• Work closely with SRE and Observability teams to ensure the right metrics are in place and drive continuous improvement.
• Drive an automation-first, infrastructure-as-code approach to network configuration and change management.
• Improve availability, performance, reliability, and security across the global network.
• Support incident response, escalations, and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.

Experience & Skills

• 7+ years’ experience in network engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience operating global networks using BGP
• Expert knowledge of networking protocols and architectures.
• Experience with network automation, telemetry, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong communicator with experience working across globally distributed teams.
• Experience with DevOps tooling (e.g. Ansible, CI/CD, Prometheus/Grafana) is a plus.
• Python and/or Go experience is advantageous.
