Summary
The Ash Group is hiring a Senior Information Security Architect for our client, a technology-forward financial services company providing customizable credit, loyalty, and payment solutions. This is a 100% Remote 12-month contract role operating on EST hours, offering a pay rate of $80.00 per hour (must be in the United States). You will lead the design and integration of security controls across complex IT environments, ensuring adherence to rigorous financial regulations and cloud-native security standards.
Role Details
- Compensation: $80.00 per hour.

- Location: Remote. Candidates must be based in the United States and work EST hours.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with IT partners to design and embed security frameworks into new and existing technology solutions, acting as a lead consultant for secure application migrations.
- Develop and maintain security reference architectures and strategic roadmaps, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and emerging industry threats.
- Provide expert advisory services on Cyber Security Tooling, assessing residual risk of identified threats and championing the use of defensive technologies.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements including PCI-DSS, SOX, GLBA, and GDPR, leveraging frameworks such as NIST 800-53 and ISO 27001.
- Create secure patterns for hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud environments, utilizing cloud-native tools like AWS GuardDuty and Azure Security Center.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to ensure consistent delivery of security consulting across the enterprise.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in Information Security, with at least 5-8 years in a dedicated Architecture or Design role.
- Cloud Mastery: 3+ years of hands-on experience architecting security for AWS and Microsoft Azure, including exposure to container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Compliance Expertise: Deep background in PCI-DSS compliance and IT audit, with advanced knowledge of the NIST-CSF and FFIEC Cyber Assessment Tool.
- Technical Breadth: Strong understanding of Networking, Encryption/Key Management, IAM, and the secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Education & Certification: Bachelor's; industry certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, or AWS/Azure Security are highly preferred.
