Duration: 6+ months Contract-to-Hire
Location: On-site 3 days/week in Cincinnati, OH
Compensation: $65-75/hr (converting to $80-105k/yr + Bonus + Benefits)

Overview:
The Storage & Backup Lead provides Level 3 support for enterprise storage, backup, and SAN environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and data protection across critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L3 support for enterprise storage platforms (EMC Unity, PMAX, VNX; NetApp; IBM; QNAP).
- Administer Fibre Channel SAN fabrics, including zoning, upgrades, and switch maintenance.
- Monitor and optimize storage performance, capacity, and replication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage issues to ensure high availability.
- Deploy and maintain backup and recovery solutions (DataDomain, Rubrik, NetBackup, Veeam, Avamar).
- Define and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Support VMware NSX and SD-WAN environments.
- Maintain system documentation and produce operational reports.
- Strong hands-on experience with EMC (Unity, PMAX, VNX), NetApp, and IBM storage.
- Solid understanding of high availability, disk technologies, RAID, and failover.
- Experience with CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel protocols.
- Experience creating host groups, LUN masking, zoning, storage pools, and tiering.
- Hands-on experience with Brocade and Cisco SAN switches.
- Experience installing, configuring, and managing storage arrays and fabrics.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based operational environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills.
- Experience with QNAP.
- Relevant storage or infrastructure certifications.
- Ability to support a 24x7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
