Job Description


Tasks

Datacentre Technician


Italy/ Toulouse,France


3months Contract with possible extension


Responsibilities:



  • Perform rack and stack installation of servers, network devices, and related hardware in data centre environments

  • Install, label, route, and terminate structured cabling (copper and fiber) according to industry standards

  • Configure and support Cisco networking equipment, including switches and routers

  • Connect and manage AC and DC power systems, including PDUs and redundant power setups

  • Ensure proper cable management, airflow optimization, and equipment placement within racks

  • Conduct hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and basic network connectivity testing

  • Follow data centre best practices, safety procedures, and change management protocols

  • Assist with equipment decommissioning, relocation, and asset tracking

  • Maintain accurate documentation for installations, cabling layouts, and inventory

  • Collaborate with network engineers, operations teams, and vendors to support infrastructure projects


Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:



  • Experience: 2+ years in rack and stack installations, preferably in data centres.

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and structured cabling.

  • Familiarity with power systems (AC/DC), cable routing, and termination.

  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).

  • Understanding of data centre best practices and safety protocols.
