They work with very high data volumes and complex Azure based architectures, focusing on automation, stability, and security. The team is highly specialized, collaborative, and hands on, with real ownership over platform design and evolution.
Role Overview
My client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to help design, automate, and operate a modern Azure platform. The focus is on CI CD, Infrastructure as Code, and the secure operation of data platforms, including Azure Databricks, across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and operate CI CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform for Azure resources
• Provision and operate Azure Databricks environments, including automation
• Standardize deployments across development, test, and production environments
• Build and improve monitoring and alerting solutions
• Implement security and networking best practices across the platform
• Troubleshoot incidents and improve long term system reliability
• Collaborate closely with development and data teams in an agile setup
Required Experience
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure and its resource model
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines, repos, and service connections
• Proven production experience with Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI CD integration
• Scripting experience with PowerShell and or Bash, Python is a plus
• Solid understanding of cloud security and networking fundamentals
• Structured, analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Nice to Have
• Experience with Azure Databricks
• Container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Azure Landing Zones, policy driven infrastructure, or GitOps
• Observability and monitoring tools
• Experience supporting data intensive platforms
