Title: Infrastructure Manager (hybrid cloud)
Location: Remote
Compensation: $135,000 – $165,000 +Bonus
The Manager of Core Infrastructure will lead the engineering team responsible for the backbone of the organization—servers, networks, cloud platforms, storage, telephony, and the systems that keep the business running securely and reliably. You’ll set direction, elevate standards, strengthen resiliency, and push forward modernization efforts across cloud, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
The position is fully remote, but you’ll be deeply connected to the organization’s senior technology leadership and will play a central role in shaping upcoming initiatives.
You’ll build and execute an infrastructure roadmap that aligns with growth, modernization needs, and emerging technologies. Your leadership will drive improvements in performance, availability, security, cost optimization, and automation across the environment.
Key areas of ownership include:
• Designing and supporting hybrid and cloud environments (primarily Azure)
• Overseeing server, network, storage, virtualization, and telephony platforms
• Ensuring high availability and 24/7 reliability through monitoring and redundancy planning
• Strengthening CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform)
• Leading disaster recovery strategy, business continuity, and backup architecture
• Managing vendor relationships, budgets, procurement, and technology evaluation
• Building, coaching, and developing a high-performing infrastructure team
• Collaborating with DevOps, Security, and Application teams on enterprise-wide initiatives
This role calls for a leader with broad, hands-on technical understanding—not just oversight. You’ll need a solid mix of engineering knowledge, architectural thinking, and operational leadership.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in areas such as:
• Azure cloud engineering and cloud-native architecture
• Kubernetes/container orchestration and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Terraform and infrastructure-as-code automation
• Virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere/ESXi and Hyper-V
• Deep networking knowledge: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, firewalls (Palo Alto), load balancing, SD-WAN
• Enterprise telephony/UC: VoIP, SIP, unified communications, contact center platforms
• Monitoring/observability tools like SolarWinds, Datadog, Prometheus, or Splunk
• Enterprise storage (SAN/NAS/RAID), backup platforms (Veeam, Commvault), DR planning
• Scripting/automation with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
We're looking for someone who has led teams through modernization, who communicates clearly with both engineers and business stakeholders, and who enjoys balancing hands-on technical insight with strong leadership.
You should have a track record of:
• Managing complex infrastructure environments
• Leading cross-functional teams and technical initiatives
• Driving operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement
• Managing budgets, timelines, vendors, and priorities
• Bringing stability, maturity, and clear communication to a fast-growing organization
