Role: Jnr Cyber Security Analyst
Location: Fully Remote (EST, CST, PST preferred)
Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join a growing security team. This role will support security operations across multiple sister companies in a regulated industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT foundation, exposure to cybersecurity tools and practices, and a desire to grow within a cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing security operations for multiple business units
- Perform vulnerability assessments using tools such as Tenable and Qualys
- Support Microsoft Entra (Privileged Identity Management) and application security
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and security tasks
- Provide audit support and vendor reviews for GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance)
- Participate in SOC activities, including monitoring and incident response
- Manage endpoint security and SIM (Security Information Management) systems
- Contribute to BDR/DR (Backup & Disaster Recovery) planning and discovery
- Collaborate with internal teams on cloud security initiatives (Azure IaaS/PaaS)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- IT background (helpdesk, network admin, or support engineer experience)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra, PowerShell, and vulnerability assessment tools
- Basic knowledge of Azure services (IaaS and PaaS)
- Exposure to endpoint security and SOC operations
- Understanding of BDR/DR concepts
- CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in a regulated industry
- Exposure to internal software development environments
- Prior experience with GRC processes
Work Environment
- Remote-first culture (option to visit office if local)
- Collaboration with a distributed team across U.S. time zones (EST preferred)
Compensation & Benefits
