Job Description
Our client is hiring a Contract Software Engineer to help strengthen the enterprise backbone of its platform. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on reliability, security and scalability across multi-user systems.
You will be joining a product-led team that values speed, craft and production-grade delivery over process for the sake of it.
Role: Software Engineer, Enterprise Platform
Rate: £500 per day
Contract: Outside IR35
Location: Fully remote
Duration: Contract
What you will be doing:
- Building and improving secure, multi-user enterprise workflows
- Implementing role-based access control, audit logs and data integrity patterns
- Designing scalable APIs and event-driven systems
- Strengthening reliability through monitoring, logging and error handling
- Working across full-stack workflows from intake to deployment
- Collaborating closely with product and leadership to ship high-impact improvements
- Designing systems that scale cleanly from early usage to enterprise adoption
What you will need:
- Strong experience building enterprise-grade software systems
- Expert knowledge of Next.JS, TypeScript, Postgres and GraphQL
- Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
- Deep understanding of authentication, permissions, concurrency and reliability
- Proven ability to ship production-grade systems under real-world constraints
- Comfortable working in fast-paced sprints with incomplete context
